“A lot of water has flowed under the bridge over the last 35 years. Hoopoe Safaris has come a long way from very modest beginnings and has endured the many difficulties that have happened over the intervening years. The company has remained true to its ethos and gained a reputation as a trusted safari provider, making a safari a transformative experience. As owners and managers of camps and lodges, we are also proud of our eco-friendly properties. It celebrates with its loyal, long serving team and invites past travelers and others to enjoy special discounts as we celebrate our 35 Th!
Globally the shock of the pandemic has been a challenge for mankind, and our foundation was shaken too but we have come through the other side.
We remain steadfast, humble, and true to our beliefs. The future lies before us , our passion for nature is enduring!
We above all thank our loyal employees , past and present. The Hoopoe family will live on.

Hoopoe Safari along the time in our clients words

Hoopoe Safari owns lodges and camps under the brand Kirurumu Under Canvas. The first lodge started a few years after founding the company in front of Lake Manyara on the Rift Valley Escarpment.
Today we have 2 lodges, one in Lake Manyara and the other on the border with Tarangire National Park and 2 camps in Serengeti, one in Seronera on the way to the Grumeti River and a mobile migration camp located in the North (Kogatende) and South (Ndutu) depending on the season.
