9 Days Migration Safari

Welcome to the beginning of your safari and welcome to Tanzania! You have chosen a fantastic place for your safari adventure. On this day, you will meet your guide, who will be with you throughout your safari. He will answer all your questions and explain the program in detail before embarking on the journey you've been dreaming of.

Arusha is an essential part of safari life here in northern Tanzania, and most travelers pass through here at some point. Whether you're on your way to your safari or staying a bit longer, you'll glimpse streets full of energy and color.

We will pick you up from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport for your first day in Tanzania.

Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will pick you up from your accommodation and head towards Tarangire National Park. Explore one of Tanzania's most rewarding national parks, home to the iconic baobabs and a haven for many elephants and large felines.

This first day of safari is particularly special as we welcome you to our home: Kirurumu Tarangire Lodge.

Our company offers accommodations around the key national parks in northern Tanzania, allowing you to enjoy the main attractions of each location

This day, we will venture further into Tarangire National Park to explore the southern area and enjoy different landscapes while continuing to marvel at the wildlife. If you'd like, we can add the experience of a walking safari where you'll enjoy breathtaking landscapes filled with giant baobab trees, acacia forests, and more. To ensure your safety, a ranger will accompany you at all times. The minimum age allowed for this safari is 12 years.

Another option that can be combined with your safari day is a visit to our neighbors. Our lodge is located very close to a Maasai community that we can visit, and where they will welcome you with open arms. They will show you their daily life, share their history, customs, and ways of living.

In the afternoon, we will head to another one of our lodges, Kirurumu Manyara, located on the edge of the Great Rift Valley.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area encompasses the crater from which it takes its name.

Over time, its once lifeless surface has transformed into a true Eden for its inhabitants. Where lava once roared, today stretches an immense expanse of green meadows, surrounded by the steep walls of the volcano, now hosting the highest concentration of wild animals in Africa, including the Big Five: buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion, and rhinoceros.

The descent into the crater is an adventure, and once you reach the crater floor, you quickly find yourself surrounded by wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, baboons, flamingos, ostriches, hippos, and various predators such as hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and more than 500 species of birds.

In the afternoon, we will start driving to reach Central Serengeti and reach our mobile camp in Seronera.

As a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a biosphere reserve since 1981, the Serengeti is one of the most famous wildlife areas in the world, boasting the highest concentration of wild animals on the planet!

Seronera is a mandatory stop and a brief rest before heading north. You will enjoy a full day of safari to encounter the big cats and various animals in the park.

We will be waiting for you at our camp for dinner.

This day, we will begin our journey to Northern Serengeti, embarking on a safari along the way. We will reach our next camp, Kirurumu Migration Mobile Camp, which moves between the north and south of the park following the migration.

For the next 3 days, we will be situated in this area to explore every corner and witness the greatest natural phenomenon on Earth, The Great Migration

More than a million wildebeests and approximately 200,000 zebras flow southward from the northern hills to the southern plains during the short rains every October and November. They then turn west and north after the long rains in April, May, and June, with July and August being the time when The Great Migration visits the Mara River, a famous spot where wildebeests and zebras cross this river.

So strong is the ancient instinct to move that no drought, gorge, or crocodile-infested river can stop them.

This day, we will take you to the Kogatende Airstrip for your return to Arusha and continue your journey. You can always customize your trip and change your return flight directly to Zanzibar from the park if you wish.
